Mission Statement
The mission of the Media and Digital Culture Department, is to educate people who are integral, ethical, with a humanistic vision, and internationally competitive in the field of Journalism, Audiovisual Narratives and Strategic Communication through an educational model that allows them to develop their knowledge, skills and values within the framework of the information society, with the guidance of inspiring teachers and training partners. These professionals will respond to the needs of a global, multicultural and multimedia world.
Technology/Equipment/Facilities
Current digital and multimedia competencies require practice using state of the art technologies. These technologies are available for the students in the laboratories where the professors, instructors and technicians are available to help students.

Internships Accepted for Credit
The students are required to complete an internship outside the unit in a real enterprise equivalent to 486 hours through the last three semesters aprox.

Experiential and/or Immersion Programs for Credit
The MEP (Professional Experience Modality) gives the students the opportunity of practice during a full semester with full semester credits outside the campus.

Some courses are available to be taken online with limited offer.
Study-Abroad Options
There are more than 400 different agreements with similar number of universities in the world where the students could take exchange programs. Approximately 200 of them has specific programs in communication, journalism or both.
