Mission Statement
The Reynolds School of Journalism and Center for Advanced Media Studies is an inclusive community of faculty, students and staff committed to facing the challenges of truth-seeking, advancing the media professions and serving the public good in a complex world.
Technology/Equipment/Facilities
The RSJ building has eleven classrooms, one of which is a 75-seat lecture hall. Eight of the classrooms are computer labs, each equipped with between 16 and 20 iMac computers; six labs are loaded with the Adobe software suite. Media production facilities include a general-purpose studio with a cyclorama wall (also used for school events) and a news studio with anchor desk, attached video and audio control rooms, and a radio/podcasting production room.

Internships Accepted for Credit
The Reynolds School requires students to complete an internship for three credits or a practicum for three credits. Students may earn up to six credits for internships.
Internships Facilitated
The Reynolds School offers paid internships through our public radio station (KUNR).
Experiential and/or Immersion Programs for Credit
The Reynolds School offers experiential learning experiences through our in-house entrepreneurial ventures: Reynolds Media Lab, Noticiero Móvil, Our Town Reno, Reno/Tahoe Business and the Hitchcock Project for Visualizing Science.
Online Options
The Reynolds School offers several online courses: JOUR 300 Visual Communication, JOUR 304 Social Media and Society and JOUR 305 Media Ethics.
Study-Abroad Options
Reynolds School students can study abroad in 28 countries through the University Studies Abroad Consortium, which is affiliated with the University of Nevada, Reno.
Graduate Programs
The Reynolds School offers a master's degree in media innovation, a three-semester program culminating in a professional project or academic thesis.

The Reynolds School received AEJMC's 2019 Equity and Diversity Award, and received the 2018 Grand Prize for Innovation in Journalism Education from the Online News Association.
