Mission Statement
The Department of Journalism strives to prepare its students to become well-educated, principled citizens, who are capable of initiating careers as skilled journalists, public relations practitioners and other related communication professionals.
Technology/Equipment/Facilities
The Journalism Department is headquartered in Manzanita Hall (MZ), a distinctively designed three-story glass-fronted structure. The radio news operation is housed at KCSN-FM, the campus-based public radio station, located in the nearby performing arts center complex. The program supports seven award-winning, student-led digital news media operations published and produced in English and Spanish, plus a public relations agency.
